Yes, as a recipient of such care, I have had 7 medical events that were diagnosed by "friends" who were MD's, and I am so grateful they offered their expertise. I will only report on one, the most dramatic for me. In my case I was fortunate that a personal friend called her Aunt , who was a physician, in another State and described my symptoms. That physician accurately diagnosed a cerebral haemorraghe headache over the phone. I made it to the ER and that was 25 years ago. I do however appreciate the need for you both (and all physicians) to set boundaries on your own time, health, work, life and individual paractice. Thanks for posting.
