Being a good diagnostician is a dying skill but one that is much needed. I don’t see how AI can truly substitute for hands on knowledge, training and skill where doctoring is concerned. It’s only as good as the information fed into it or gleaned from the information it ransacks. But how can doctors learn, the way you did, when doctor appointments are, if you’re lucky, 15 minutes long with 10 of those minutes spent filling in EMR information on the computer and having the doctor encourage you to do testing that you have already told her (or him) that at this age I’m supposed to have aged out of (and wondering why, since she’s a geriatrician, that she doesn’t know this) and that I don’t see the necessity of it at this time. I try to be smart about not submitting to unnecessary tests while not being stupid by rejecting them all. I would hope that a service would take advantage of your diagnostic skill.
